Born and raised in Brooklyn before moving to Bloomfield, where he had a son, Izaak, Jr. with his partner, Lana, his obituary reads. He worked for Showcase Kitchen and Bath and also as a security guard before he opened his own computer technology company, his obituary reads.
Medina is survived by Lana and Izaak, Jr., his mother, Sophie, his siblings, Aaron and Hazel and other family members and friends. A fundraiser has been created to assist his family and to provide his son.
"This man was a warrior, a lion and one incredible fighter," Nicole Duva, who organized the fundraiser, said. "He was in such severe pain for many years, but he suffered in silence. "May Izaak rest in eternal paradise."
A funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. at Biondi Funeral Home in Nutley.
